Woman arrested for kidnapping and raping men in Spain's Seville
The suspect used social media to lure her victims before detaining and abusing them
A woman has been arrested in Coria del Río, Seville, accused of detaining, sexually assaulting and harassing men she targeted through social media platforms. The National Police launched an investigation after one of her victims came forward with a complaint.
The suspect allegedly met men online and arranged to meet them in person. Once inside their homes, she reportedly forced them to have sexual relations as a condition for being allowed to leave. Following the encounters, the victims sought to distance themselves from her, prompting the woman to engage in persistent harassment.
One complainant revealed that he received up to 77 missed calls in a short period and that the woman repeatedly turned up at his home uninvited. She also coerced him into further meetings, threatening to falsely accuse him of gender violence if he did not comply with her demands.
After weeks of escalating harassment, the victim collected sufficient evidence and reported the incidents to the police, requesting a restraining order.
The National Police investigation confirmed the allegations and led to the woman’s arrest. She has been charged with illegal detention, sexual assault, harassment and coercion. While awaiting trial, she has been released provisionally but is subject to a restraining order, which prohibits her from contacting the victim or approaching within 500 metres.
