ARCHIVED - Woman gives birth to quadruplets in Elche
The two boys and two girls are doing well in the Baix Vinalopo hospital

On Saturday January 22, 35-year-old Zineb Moubarak gave birth to quadruplets – two boys and two girls – at the General University Hospital of Elche. Little Amin, Sofia, Karim and Lina were all born between 9.10pm and 9.15pm.
The expectant mum has been closely monitored by medics from the Foetal Physiopathology Unit of the Ilicita Hospital throughout her pregnancy who ensured that the four babies had a strong chance of survival before they were delivered last week.
The newborns are currently being looked after in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and are understood to be doing very well.
Last year, the hospital attended a total of 41 multiple births, 40 twins and 1 set of triplets.
