47-year-old British man gored by bull in Alicante
The man is in hospital after suffering an injury at the ‘bous cerrils’ fiesta in the Marina Alta comarca

A 47-year-old British man was injured when gored by a bull’s horn last Thursday afternoon, July 17, during the celebration of the ‘bous cerrils’ fiesta in the town of Pedreguer (Alicante), according to sources from the local police.
The animal stuck its horn into the man’s leg, creating a serious gashing and meaning he had to be taken to hospital in Denia.
Sources have confirmed that the man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
On the same afternoon, a French father and his two small children, aged 2 and 5, who were on holiday in the area, also had to be transferred to Denia Hospital after they were mowed down by a speeding drunk driver in nearby Xàbia.
