Alicante police arrest four women who dressed as Arab women to steal perfume
National Police say the suspects worked together, using disguises and lookouts to target a city perfumery

The National Police have arrested four women in Alicante, aged between 29 and 43, who are accused of dressing up in disguise to steal from shops.
According to sources close to the investigation, the women, all residents of the city, were caught after items worth €480 were taken from a perfumery in an Alicante shopping centre. Witnesses explained that they wore clothes of Arab appearance and even tried to imitate the Arabic language while they were inside.
The police believe the group worked together, with some acting as lookouts while others grabbed the perfume boxes and another held on to the bottles. Three of the women were arrested on Tuesday October 20, and the fourth followed on the morning of Friday October 23.
According to the investigation, the disguises were intended to hide their identities and make it harder for the security forces to identify them afterwards. They’ve been charged with theft and belonging to a criminal group, with disguise as an aggravating circumstance.
