ARCHIVED - Feline DJ upsets residents of Lugo with loud music

A music-loving cat in Galicia took advantage of the absence of his owner to throw a house party

Residents of the city of Lugo, in the north-western Spanish region of Galicia, were more than a little surprised earlier this month when they called out the police to deal with a noisy party being held in their apartment block, only to find that the row had been caused by a music-loving cat who seemed intent on raising the roof!

The local police entered the apartment concerned following a series of complaints from angry neighbours unable to sleep, but at first believed there was no-one home. However, before long they found that the cat, who had been left home alone, had managed to turn on the stereo and raise the volume, no doubt keen to make the most of his freedom while his owner was out.

It was not until the following day that the owner was contacted by phone, at which point he explained that this was not the first time that his feline friend had decided that a little party action was in order and had pressed the “on” button before raising the volume to ear-splitting levels. He was out of town but returned home as soon as possible in order to avoid a repeat of the impromptu rave!
