Snow in Sierra Espuña November 24
After a drastic drop in temperatures across Spain, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has confirmed that the first snowfall of the winter reached the Region of Murcia on Wednesday morning, November 24.
Sierra Espuña and some other high-altitude areas (over 1,000 metres) in the north east of the Region were dusted with a light coating of snow this week. In general, the snowfall didn’t surpass one centimetre in thickness.
The snow came with the rather stormy weather experienced by some parts of the Region on Wednesday morning, in the south of the Altiplano and along the coast.
Aemet also reports a slight chance of snow and ice in high altitude areas on Wednesday afternoon.
