Iryo offers 20 per cent off train tickets throughout Spain for August
But hurry, the cut-price offer is only available in Spain on tickets purchased by Sunday July 23
Competition is heating up between Spain’s three main rail operators with each striving to offer better and better deals for train travel this summer. Now, Iryo is offering 20% off all tickets purchased for travel during the month of August.
But you’ll need to be quick, as the discount is only valid if the tickets are bought before Sunday July 23.
The low-cost, high-speed operator is offering the promotion on all fares for “journeys between August 1, 2023 and August 31, 2023 from Monday to Thursday”, although it excludes August 1, 15 and 31.

To avail themselves of the 20% bonus, passengers must enter discount code ‘VEN20’ when purchasing tickets at iryo.eu or promotional code ‘IRY20’ at agencias.iryo.eu. A maximum of nine passengers are allowed per purchase.
Along with Renfe, Iryo is also offering discount travel for young people throughout the summer. Anyone aged between 18 and 30 can enjoy a 50% discount on all flexible tickets for train journeys taken until September 15.
The rival company began its operations last December between the cities of Madrid, Zaragoza and Barcelona and later arrived in Cuenca and Valencia. In March it expanded its services to the cities of Seville, Malaga, Córdoba and Antequera and on June 2 it opened its Albacete and Alicante lines.
