Torrevieja woman, 78, found unconscious and dehdrated on the floor 3 days after falling out of bed
The alarm was raised by the woman's concerned daughter who lives in Spain's Basque Country, more than 800km away

A 78-year-old woman was found unconscious and severely dehydrated on the floor of her Torrevieja home after falling out of bed three days earlier.
Police had to force wreckers and the front door to gain access to the property after family in the Basque Country raised the alarm after being unable to contact the pensioner who is dependent on an oxygen machine.
Details have only just emerged, but on May 31, the Guardia Civil received a call from the elderly woman's daughter who was extremely concerned her mother may have had an accident or disappeared, as she had not heard from her for three days.
A patrol from Torrevieja Police Station visited the property and spoke to neighbours who confirmed they had not seen or had any contact with the 78-year-old for at least 72 hours.
Officers tried calling the woman's phone, repeatedly rang the doorbell and shouted to try to get a response, to no avail.

Family and neighbours were convinced the pensioner was inside as she was unable to leave her home due to her high dependency on the oxygen machine.
Eventually, police managed to force entry and found the elderly woman unconscious in a bedroom, on the floor between the bed and a wardrobe.
She was also extremely dehydrated, having spent three days in the same position, and bruised from the fall.
Officers managed to revive the injured woman and she was taken to the University Hospital of Torrevieja.
Thanking Torrevieja police for their assistance, the daughter assured her mother has since made a full recovery.
Meanwhile, the Guardia Civil has recommended that, in similar situations involving elderly people, the 'Alertcops' application should be installed.
Through the 'Guardian' function, a family member, friend or neighbour can know the location of the vulnerable person at all times, and can inform the police in the event of a disappearance or possible accident/incident.
