Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at the crack of dawn in Orihuela Costa this morning.
The Alicante provincial fire brigade received the alert at 8.28am and dispatched two vehicles to a commercial centre on Calle República Dominicana in Pueblo Principe urbanisation.
They sent a heavy urban pump truck with five firefighters and a sergeant, plus a command vehicle.
The fire had broken out in the fusebox of a commercial unit after the electricity tripped and filled the whole establishment with smoke.
Fortunately no-one was injured but there was material damage.
The firefighters put out the flames and ventilated the smoke in various rooms, before declaring the job done at 10.23.
