Water and electricity supplies cut in Lorca this week
Scheduled repair works mean water cuts and power cuts for people in the outlying districts of Lorca
The supply of drinking water and electricity will be cut in various parts of the municipality of Lorca this Monday June 17, Wednesday 19 and Friday 21.
Water supply cuts

Firstly, due to maintenance work on the reservoir of Pedanías Altas de Lorca this Monday, the Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla has announced, via the Councillor for Water of Lorca City Council, Ángel Ramón Meca, that the supply of drinking water will be interrupted between 10am and 12pm.
The areas affected by the supply cut in question are:
- Doña Inés
- Avilés
- La Paca
- Zarcilla de Ramos
- Torrealvilla and part of Zarzadilla de Totana
Once the work has been carried out on the supply network, normal drinking water supply will be restored.
Electricity supply cuts
Meanwhile, the Councillor for Industrial Services, Antonio David Sánchez Alcaraz, has informed of the temporary interruption of the electricity supply scheduled by the company Iberdrola in the districts of Morata and Nogalte “due to the expansion and maintenance of network facilities”.
On the morning of Wednesday June 19, Morata will be without electricity from 8.30am to 12.30pm in the following areas:
- Pj Morata: 7, 8, 21, 140 PR, 140
- Ra Morata: 4, 8 PR 5, 9, 14 PR, 14, 16
On the morning of Friday June 21, Nogalte’s electricity supply will be cut from 8.05am to 10.35am in the following areas:
- Cn La Cuerda: 1, 5
- Pj Los Menchones: 7 PC
