ARCHIVED - Woman arrested in connection with Benidorm hotel room break-ins
The detainee is believed to be a member of a group of travellers targeting tourist accommodation in the Marina Baixa town, Alicante province

The National Police in Benidorm have arrested a woman believed to belong to a group of travellers or itinerants which specialises in hotel room break-ins.
An investigation began last August following two reports of thefts from hotel rooms using the 'slip and slide' credit card method.
Detectives managed to get hold of CCTV footage showing two young women in their 20s who, although they weren't hotel guests, loitered inside an unnamed hotel in Benidorm for almost an hour.
The pair were earlier seen going upstairs towards the hotel rooms.
Images of the alleged perpetrators were shared by the National Police, and officers from the Guardia Civil Citizen Security unit recognised one of them, having had dealings with the suspect following an altercation at a hotel in the resort when she was asked to provide identification.
After checking the woman's police records, a search warrant was issued and the 26-year-old was arrested whilst walking with a male companion in a town centre street on January 7.
She was carrying 4,540 euros in cash, which was seized, and police later discovered she was wanted in connection with a number of burglaries in Madrid.
The case is now in the hands of Benidorm Magistrate's Court.
