ARCHIVED - Group of Dutch tourists infected with Covid on the run in Spain
An alert has been released for the arrest of the tourists for breaking isolation
An outbreak of Covid-19 among Dutch tourists has been reported in the municipality of Navas del Madroño in the province of Cáceres in western Spain.
These tourists, who were originally confined to a rural hotel near the town, according to town councillor Denís Talavera, have now reportedly broken their imposed isolation and cannot be located.
Talavera has indicated that there are five positive cases among “non-residents” in the town, and that they have gone on the run, forcing the Junta de Extremadura to alert the international system that the people are wanted for crimes against public health.
