Armed gang poses as police to rob tourists in Estepona villa
Intruders tied up guests, stole luxury items, and left one victim injured in a violent late-night raid

The assailants, reportedly armed, restrained the guests and confined them to a storage room. During the ordeal, one victim suffered a head injury inflicted by the intruders, necessitating medical attention at a nearby facility. The robbers made off with luxury items, including a Rolex watch and designer clothing. The National Police have launched an investigation to apprehend those responsible.
This incident is part of a concerning pattern of violent crimes in the region. In late January, authorities responded to a call from a resident on Carretera de Cádiz who reported suspicious noises from a basement on Calle Comandante Román. Both local and national police forces were dispatched and uncovered evidence of a violent robbery.
The previous day, intruders had reportedly broken into the same residence, stealing personal belongings and subjecting one victim to severe intimidation, including placing a firearm in her mouth. During a subsequent attempt, three teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were arrested. Officers confiscated two knives, a balaclava and a firearm during the arrest.
These incidents highlight the importance of vigilance and caution among residents and visitors in the area. The National Police continue to investigate these crimes to ensure the safety and security of the community.
