ARCHIVED - Brit far-right terror suspect extradited to UK from Spain appears in court
Kris Kearns is accused of spreading far-right hate and terrorism
Kris Kearns, a 37-year-old British man who was arrested in Spain on suspicion of terror offences, is due to appear in court in the UK today, Friday September 30 after losing his extradition battle.
Mr Kearns was arrested in Alicante on March 2, where he had fled to escape police who wanted him apprehended on suspicion of disseminating material that promotes ‘extreme right-wing terrorism’ connected to the group Patriotic Alternative.
He was brought back to the UK on September 8, where UK police took charge of him. He first appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 9, and will now appear at the Old Bailey today for his hearing.
He is charged with two counts of disseminating a terrorist publication under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006, and could face up to 15 years in prison.
