Five members of Norwegian family saved from drowning on Costa del Sol
Incredibly, all five family members were pulled to safety at a Fuengirola beach

Five members of the same Norwegian family were rescued from the sea at Torreblanca beach in Fuengirola on Monday morning, June 23, after struggling to get out of the water.
The incident occurred shortly before 11am, just minutes before the town’s lifeguard service was due to begin its daily shift. Responding immediately, the team managed to recover all five family members from the water.
The father and one of his sons were in critical condition and required resuscitation on the beach. Medical staff successfully performed CPR before transferring both to the Hospital Costa del Sol for further treatment.
On the same day, a separate incident in Cádiz ended in tragedy. A 38-year-old Italian man drowned at Santa María del Mar beach. He had been visiting the beach with his parents when he was found face-down in the water. Despite emergency efforts, he could not be revived.
