The minor quake was felt in the Vega Baja municipality

Spain’s National Geographic Institute (IGN) registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.4 at 10.27am this Monday December 18, with its epicentre to the northeast of Los Montesinos, on the opposite side of the lagoon of La Mata from Torrevieja, at a depth of 5 kilometres.
The Proyecto Mastral, a meteorological and climatological project, reports that the tremor “has been widely felt by the population, although more with noise than with movement”.
