ARCHIVED - No primary or high school student groups in quarantine in the province of Alicante
Only 71 students and 10 teachers have tested positive for Covid following the Easter holidays
The Comunidad Valenciana currently has the lowest level of Covid incidence in Spain and this is reflected in the latest data relating to Covid in educational centres from April 12 to April 16, which shows that primary and high schools in the province of Alicante have the lowest number of Covid cases in the region following the Easter holidays and there are currently no classrooms closed due to coronavirus in the province.
There are currently 71 students and 10 teachers who have tested positive for Covid in the province, but it has not been considered necessary to quarantine educational groups or classrooms in any of the 638 educational centres throughout the province of Alicante.
Furthermore, students in Alicante are receiving normal, in-person classes in 100% of the established educational groups (or classrooms), around 16,700 groups in total.
In the Comunidad Valenciana as a whole, there are currently 5 educational groups in quarantine in five different educational centres across the three provinces, meaning that 99.7% of the 1,845 centres in the region are continuing their educational activity with normality.
In addition, following the Easter holidays, out of the nearly 47,000 educational groups in the region of Valencia, 99.9% have carried out their in-person activity without incident.
