UK tourist arrested after knocking another holidaymaker unconscious in Magaluf
The Spanish holiday hotspot has been the scene of countless bloody scraps and tragic accidents this summer

The Magaluf summer madness continues with yet another British youngster arrested at the famous Spanish party resort. The 29-year-old was hauled in on suspicion of assault resulting in harm after a second tourist was left bloodied and unconscious following a vicious street brawl in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 12.
Witnesses to the horror attack involving two warring groups on the notorious Punta Ballena strip described the Brit as the “main instigator” of the violence, which saw several seemingly intoxicated tourists brutally kick and punch each other outside a local takeaway.
Shocking footage from the night shows a young man lying motionless in the middle of the fray with blood pouring from a head wound. As a crowd gathered, one man rushed over to help the unconscious victim up, but the rest of the revellers warned him not to move the tourist before paramedics arrived.
However, the chaotic fight escalated when an onlooker jumped forward and punched the original attacker square in the face. This riled the crowd up further and the brawl spilled on down the strip.
After several minutes, a few of those involved took off at a run and were chased away down the street.
Magaluf’s reputation is going from bad to worse this summer and police are desperately trying to clean up its image by cracking down on excessive drinking and disorderly behaviour.
One of the ways it’s trying to do this is by imposing an outright ban on booze cruises, organised pub crawls and happy hours but despite this, just last week a company was fined 161,000 euros for packing 130 drunk tourists on a party boat.
In May, ten people were arrested when a mass brawl involving more than 50 people erupted outside the Panama Jack nightclub, resulting in injuries to five police officers.
